Coastal Climate Solutions Leaders and PICS present: The Drawdown Roadmap

Presented by Dr. Jonathan Foley of Project Drawdown, The Drawdown Roadmap is a science-based strategy for accelerating climate solutions. It points to which climate actions we need to prioritize to stop climate change. By showing how to work together on solutions (across sectors, time and place), how to engage the power of co-benefits, and how to recognize and remove obstacles, the Roadmap charts a path to progress on climate solutions… before it’s too late. Regulating Zero Emissions Vehicles Panel, Net-Zero Advisory Body

One of CCSL's Core Faculty members, Dr. Katya Rhodes, Professor at the School of Public Administration and member of Canada’s Sustainable Development Advisory Council, will be sitting on the Regulating ZEVs Panel.

Increasing the uptake of zero-emissions vehicles is key to reducing pollution from the transportation sector. This panel explores the federal government’s work to ensure 60 per cent of new light-duty vehicles are zero-emissions by 2030, en route to 100 per cent of new light-duty vehicles by 2035.

Indigenous Cultural Acumen Training

The first of our Professional Development workshops, UVic’s custom Indigenous Cultural Acumen Training. This critical session is designed to offer "foundational information about the colonial context, both historical and current, of Indigenous people in Canada to all members of the university community" (ICAT).

This will be a 2-hour presentation and discussion. Our session will include all members of the CCSL Program, including our Core Team.
